2003 North American Pesticide Applicator Certification and Safety Education Workshop
August 11-14, 2003 Honolulu, Hawaii

Safety - Competency - Security
The Future for Pesticide Workers

August 11 - 14, 2003
Ala Moana Hotel
Honolulu, Hawaii

Come join your colleagues from across North America to discuss ways to create greater levels of safety, competency and security in national programs for pesticide workers. Spend time with program partners from the Environmental Protection Agency, state and provincial regulatory agencies, and pesticide safety educators, dealing with issues that confront us all in our efforts to build sustainable, quality programs. Learn about proposals for harmonization of regulatory programs. Exchange information on needs, trends, and successes in our programs. Take home new tools and techniques to assist you in your programs.

The draft of the still evolving Agenda is up, and is subject to change. Program partners traveling on tickets paid for by the Environmental Protection Agency are expected to attend the entire meeting. Registration forms for the workshop submitted by July 18 have a registration fee of $200. After July 18, the registration fee will be $250.

The University of Hawaii Cooperative Extension Service and the Hawaii Department of Agriculture are hosting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency sponsored, 2003 North American Pesticide Applicator Certification and Pesticide Safety Education Workshop. State and provincial certification staff, state pesticide safety educators, national agency program staffs, and other professionals who are interested in the certification and training of pesticide users, are encouraged to attend this workshop.
